The Broumov region is known for its Baroque monuments and architectural gems. Historical attractions undoubtedly include the Broumov Monastery, the oldest wooden church in Bohemia, the group of nine outdoor Baroque churches, dozens of chapels, ways of the cross and hundreds of sandstone statues and crosses of exceptional artistic value. These can be found in both villages and the open.
As part of the tour of the imposing building you can also look forward to a scary and adventurous excursion into the Monastery dungeons. Here lie a total of 34 mummies originally from a crypt from the St. Procopius Church, a parish church in Vamberk.
